The Managers
Within corporate internal leadership development we have three basic models for leadership programmes:
- LIA Leadership in Action – for new managers
- VIA From Vision to Action – for experienced managers
- SIA Strategy in Action – for top managers
Based on these fundamental models we tailor make programme and content to suit each business’ unique needs and wishes. We always link the content to your leadership and staff philosophy in order to further strengthen your culture and aims.
LIA Leadership in Action – for new managers
- The basic model focuses on personal aspects of leadership and team leadership.
- The programme begins and ends with a three-way dialogue amongst the participants, managers and a coach to ensure quality and commitment from the participants’ line manager.
- Time required: ten days, of which eight days in two modules.
New managers’ needs and challenges
- There is often a need for greater understanding of the bigger picture.
- Frequently you have been promoted over former colleagues who are often older and more experienced than yourself.
- As a new manager you finds yourself in a situation where you still need to be an expert but where general managerial aspects demand different prioritising to the familiar way.
- You often need increased self-awareness, to better understand your behaviour and expand your action repertoire.
- to feel secure in your leadership role you must develop your own distinct platform as a basis for your leadership in relation to the operational requirements and expectations, aims and visions.
VIA From Vision to Action – for experienced managers
- The basic model focuses on business acumen, strategic leadership, change leadership and team leadership.
- The modules are complemented with strategic change work or coaching groups.
- Time requirement: Twelve days in four modules, six days in project or coaching groups.
Experienced managers’ needs and challenges
- You have frequently been a Jack-of-all-trades and are managing managers.
- You often have to interpret, clarify and push change work that is initiated by top management.
- As an experienced manager you are at the centre of everything – of the leadership as well as all levels of staff - and in this position create meaningful and understandable strategies and changes.
- Typically you are in the middle of your career and need additional top ups to be able to take move forward, alternatively to develop a new role and function for yourself and your organisation.
SIA Strategy in Action – for senior management
- The basic model focuses on business acumen and strategic innovation.
- Each participant is offered their own executive coach.
- Time requirement: Six days in two modules and four days in executive coaching.
Senior managements’ needs and challenges
- As a senior manager you are head of operations.
- You have to effect structural changes that will be executed by others.
- You have to take into account the interests of many stakeholders.
- You have to work through a management system, not only through your colleagues in the management group.
- Development trends need to be followed and monitored.
